Assam CTC (Crush, Tear, Curl) tea is graded based on various factors including leaf size, appearance,
and quality. Here's an overview of some common grades:
1. Whole Leaf Grades:

FTGFOP (Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe): This is the highest grade of
Assam tea, characterized by the presence of golden tips and high-quality whole
leaves. It produces a rich and flavorful cup.

TGFOP (Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe): Similar to FTGFOP but with slightly
fewer golden tips.

GFOP (Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe): This grade denotes high-quality whole leaves
with some golden tips, producing a robust and malty flavor.
2. Broken Leaf Grades:

FBOP (Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe): This grade consists of broken leaves with
some tips, offering a strong and brisk cup.

BOP (Broken Orange Pekoe): Smaller broken leaves with less tip content compared
to FBOP, providing a full-bodied infusion.
3. Fannings and Dust Grades:

Fannings: These are small leaf particles, often used in tea bags, producing a quick
and strong brew.

Dust: The smallest tea particles, used mainly in tea bags for a quick infusion and
strong flavor.
